Configuração de áudio - Mint 17

Buenas amigos do Fórum!

Seguinte, desde o começo do ano voltei a usar linux, optando pelo Mint. Já instalei em meu note o 16, atualizando pro qiana semana passada. Também instalei no ultrabook da minha companheira.

Só que rola o seguinte... Desde o 16, não tenho percebido o áudio redondinho. No meu, vira e mexe o som sai estourando, mesmo eu regulando os mixers. No ruindão tava rodando o áudio tranquilo antes.

Já no ultra (HP) o som tá muito baixo. Já tentei setar de todo jeito - fuçando nos mixers, alterando pra Alsa... e segue baixo. Enfim, acho que tá rolando uma zica na plataforma de áudio aqui que não consegui resolver.

Queremos o som funfando bonitinho, não um quebra-galho...

    Que versão do Mint 17 (Cinnamon, MATE, KDE, Xfce, ...) e qual a arquitetura (32-bit ou 64-bit) instaladas nesses PCs?

    Aqui no Mint 17 Cinnamon, basta clicar no ícone de volume da barra de tarefas e depois clicar em [b]Configurações de som[/b].

    Daí, em [b]Volume de saída[/b] você pode controlar o volume do áudio, inclusive configurando-o para além dos 100% padrão (o que o deixa bem mais alto que no Windows ;-) ).

    Como seu PC é relativamente recente talvez seja válido atualizar o kernel para a nova versão (3.16) que acabou de ser liberada. Para isso basta utilizar a [url=www.biglinux.com.br/ubuntu/big-repositorio-kernel-ubuntu_1.0.0-1kaiana1_all.deb]ferramenta de atualização do BigBruno[/url].
