Linux Mint 22.3 installer crashes with ubi-partman failed with exit code 10
Hello! I'm trying to install Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon alongside Windows in a dual-boot setup.
The installer keeps crashing with:
“ubi-partman crashed” / “ubi-partman failed with exit code 10”
It happens during the installation process, around the multimedia codecs/timezone stage. I tried installing with the multimedia codecs disabled and with the internet disconnected, but the same error happened.
My computer has two disks: a ~250 GB Windows disk and a 1 TB HDD. I want to keep Windows and my files on the 1 TB HDD.
Could someone help me understand what is causing the ubi-partman error and how I can safely install Linux Mint?
