sobre o mint 12

Pessoal boa tarde.
acabei de instalar o mint 12.
sou usuário ubuntu e confesso que o mint 12 é mais leve que o ubuntu 11.10
mas a pergunta é. as atuaalizações para esta versão é de 18 meses assim como o ubuntu?

    Sim, 18 meses. Em geral segue o mesmo calendário do Ubuntu, distro na qual é baseada.

    A próxima versão muito provavelmente será uma LTS, com suporte extendido, tal qual o Ubuntu.

    Então tá. Estou gostando de usar o mint, achei bastante leve comparado ao ubuntu que usa o mesmo kernel. Alguns falaram que era lento por causa do lightdm, mas o mint também não é com ligthdm?

    Amigo acho que a regra das partições vale para os dispositivos removiveis tamem, porque eu tenho uma partição de dados em NTFS e o meu mint escreve e le nela, ja tetou em NTFS?

    O mint foi bom até instalar a placa de vídeo, quando reiniciei quem disse que ainda prestou. travou e pronto.

    NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS
    parece relíquia, mas não conhecia nada de placa de vídeo e o cara que me vendeu, enganou-me bem direitinho. Com o ubuntu 10.10 ela roda sem nem um problema depois de instalado o driver.
    incrivel que meu pc já com uma placa interna também nvidia.
